I was on my way to check out my brother’s metal band, Mouth Full of War (haha, see what I did there?) and had some time time for dinner beforehand. Since his show was out in Anaheim, I wondered if there was any ramen out there. I have not done much ramen running around the OC and Okazu Ramen House popped up on my map. The star ratings didn’t look promising, but I’m always willing to give a place a try!
Sorry everyone, I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to do any blogging! But here’s a quick blog on Ramen Zetton in Costa Mesa.
I went to Ramen Zetton several weeks ago with a friend for a pre-concert dinner. We were running a bit late because of traffic but luckily, it was only about a mile from the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Not exactly a fancy dinner before a classy concert, but that’s just how I roll.
Pork Soy Sauce Ramen
Hey, Tanya here!
I got to go on a random Ramen Run on Saturday. Aaron and I have always talked about going to Amoeba Music some day to check out the selection. The place is off Sunset and Ivar. I love how big the place is.
So much to choose from. From cds, vinyls, dvds, vhs, even laserdisc hahaha!
This past Sunday night, I had ramen with an old friend of mine, Jeraldin. I had not seen her in over 10 years! Jeraldin and I went to school together back when we both lived in Hawaii. When I recently found out she moved to Santa Monica, we started hanging out. We met up for a ramen dinner then went to the Basement Tavern to watch my friend, Max, and his awesome reggae band, Bodhi Rock.
I wanted to check out a new ramen place, but most ramen places around were closed early on a Sunday night. Luckily, Kotoya, one of my favorite ramen joints, their last call was at 9:30. When we got there, there was a smaller crowd and we immediately sat ourselves at the bar. Everyone that works there, are so nice. It always felt good to walk in and everyone, including the chefs, would greet you. I think they recognize me by now, as they seemed to have the look on their faces that they were glad to see me again. Well, I hope they were glad to see me back. (Last time I was there, I showed up piss drunk and going off on some crazy rant… Haha.)
Remember when the Matthew Jude Band went on a ramen run before going into the studio?
